SEATTLE — McKinley Irvin announced today that they have received a Metropolitan First-Tier Ranking for Family Law in Seattle as part of the U.S. News 2012-2013 Best Lawyers yearly rankings of “Best Law Firms.”

McKinley Irvin is the largest firm in the state of Washington to offer an exclusive focus on the practice area of family law.

“It is a great honor for us to once again be recognized as one of the area’s top family law firms,” said Sands McKinley, McKinley Irvin’s cofounder and managing partner. “Over the years, we have maintained a resolve to offer a high standard of dedicated service to our clients. We are thrilled to be distinguished for the work that we have done and will continue to do for many years to come.”

This recognition marks the third consecutive year that McKinley Irvin has received accolades from the “Best Law Firms” rankings by U.S. News. Qualification for inclusion entails having at least one lawyer currently ranked in the annual peer-reviewed Best Lawyers®.

Each year, U.S. News and World Report conducts broad nation-wide surveys of lawyers, clients, law firms and recruiters. Rankings are based on an evaluation process that includes surveys of clients and lawyers, peer reviews from leading industry attorneys, and other formal submission processes.

Rankings for practice areas are produced on both a national level as well as for 170 individual metropolitan areas across the United States. Additional details about their methods of evaluation can be found at http://bestlawfirms.usnews.com/methodology.aspx.
