Sharon L. Friedrich
Senior Associate
Areas of Practice:
Sharon, a Senior Associate with McKinley Irvin, is a client-focused litigator who excels in complex or difficult divorce, child custody, and parenting law. With McKinley Irvin since ’02, Sharon has practiced family law since she obtained her law degree in ’93 and has litigated in hundreds of complex family law cases. Sands McKinley, the firm’s managing partner, says that "Sharon puts 100% of herself into her cases. She really feels for her clients' predicaments and wants to achieve the best possible results for them. Sharon's sense of compassion for her clients fuels the fire-in-the-belly that every attorney needs in order to present the best case for their client." Her clients are the reason Sharon has practiced family law for more than fourteen years. "It's a highly emotional and personal process," says Sharon. "Clients are thrown into an arena they do not understand, without the tools they need to protect themselves and their children... that’s where we come in." Sharon’s passion for family law is obvious to those who know her and she is well respected by her peers as a tireless client advocate. When asked to define one reason why she does what she does, her response was immediate and clear, “…because of the moment when a client looks at me and realizes I can help them. I watch all the stress leave them as they realize they aren’t alone in this, that we can help. After that I get to work, doing what I do best.” Professional and Community Service:
