The daughter of an accomplished business lawyer, Elizabeth Bianchi entered the legal profession with her eyes wide open.

"I enjoy the challenge of providing a sense of stability for people going through a particularly unstable period in their lives," she says. "It is satisfying to be that 'go-to' person who can come into a case with a clear head to assist clients who are often on an emotional roller coaster. The opportunity to step in, to provide logical guidance and workable solutions...this is what attracts me to the practice of family law."

A member of the McKinley Irvin legal team since 2008, Elizabeth says her overriding goal is to craft the best possible outcomes for her clients so that they can begin a new chapter in their lives filled with confidence and hope.

"I want my clients to take the next step forward in a way that is best not only for them, but their families, too," she explains.

While Elizabeth acknowledges there are special challenges to practicing family law, she believes her education, experience, and regular interaction with seasoned McKinley Irvin attorneys puts her in an exceptional position to serve clients well. She also trusts her pragmatism, work ethic, and innate love of the law.

"Oftentimes, there is not a 'winner' in family law, which can be hard for clients to understand," she notes. "There is a lot of gray area in our line of work. Helping clients maintain realistic expectations is one of our most important responsibilities."

In addition to her work at McKinley Irvin, Elizabeth volunteers regularly with the King County Bar Association's Family Law Clinic, where she provides legal advice on a range of family law issues, including domestic violence, divorce, child support, child custody, and parenting plans.
