About Krista

Family law attorney Krista E. Stipe is dedicated to using the law to help people through family transitions. The goal, in Krista's mind, is to obtain outcomes that will positively affect her client's lives on a daily basis, whether representing clients through a divorce, custody issue, or for estate planning matters.

"Family law involves the aspects of life we value the most," says Krista. "I enjoy helping people shape how their future will look, whether through a carefully constructed divorce settlement, parenting plan, estate plan, or other legal solution that supports my clients' vital interests."

Krista makes sure to understand not only her client's goals, but also why those goals are important to him or her. As a result, she can present legal strategies to successfully address the client's desires that may not have been considered before.

"I work as a team with my clients, so they always know what is happening and what we can expect to achieve. I respect the fact that a legal procedure will change their lives and the need to be one hundred percent dedicated to protecting their dignity, interests, and family."

Krista also provides estate planning services, which are often necessary during a family law matter, due to changes in marital status, family structure, or asset ownership. Krista works to ensure clients' estate plans legally protect their current intentions and directives.

A former high school teacher, Krista often serves her clients not only as their legal advocate and representative, but as their educator and guide. By informing her clients about the legal process and what expectations they should have, she can ease some of the stress and emotional distress that often accompanies family law matters.

"Many people walk into a law office with fears and worries, and they are unsure about how their particular case should be handled," says Krista. "From the very start, I let my clients know that we are working together—that they will get the answers they need from me, my complete support in making good choices, and a strong plan to move forward."

Originally from Montana, Krista enjoys being outdoors, skiing and hiking. She also loves to read, cook, and spend time with her husband and young children.
