From litigation to complex settlement negotiations, Kimberly Brown brings clarity, strength, and strategy to every case. She is a determined advocate known for her strategic thinking, strong courtroom presence, and commitment to helping families navigate life’s major transitions with confidence and hope.
Born in Taipei and raised in the Seattle area by her father, a military serviceman, Kimberly has a personal understanding of the critical role fathers play in their children’s lives. She has built a strong reputation representing men and fathers, particularly in non-traditional custody cases, earning lasting appreciation from clients who feel seen, heard, and fiercely advocated for.
“Divorce can be unsettling,” she says, “but it doesn’t have to break you. My goal is to help clients see that this chapter, while difficult, can be the start of something stronger, more grounded, and entirely their own.”
Before practicing law, Kimberly held roles in retail, corporate travel, and image consulting, experiences that shaped her strong commitment to client care. She holds degrees in Psychology and African American History and Culture and brings valuable insight into mental health, special needs and differently abled children, as well as the cultural and familial dynamics that influence family law.
Kimberly thrives in litigation, especially at trial, where she compares her work to navigating a spiderweb of logic:
“Law school teaches you to think in a straight line, but trial doesn’t work that way. You have to shift, bounce, and adapt. That’s where I do my best work.”
Equally skilled in negotiation, Kimberly frequently represents high earners and understands the financial tipping points that influence both settlement strategy and trial preparation. She is known for being candid and strategic with her clients.
Outside of work, Kimberly enjoys travel, sunshine, writing, and spending time with her large, close-knit family. She has explored Costa Rica, Chile, Japan, and Taiwan. She’s quickly improving at golf (to avoid becoming a weekend “golf widow”). Her greatest joy is a home filled with laughter, love, family, and her two dogs.
