When: 6-May-2015 12:00pm - 1:00pm
Where: 1501 Fourth Avenue, Seattle WA 3rd floor Alki Conference Room
What: Increasingly, legal and mental health professionals are considering parents’
requests for equal or near equal parenting time. Shared parenting is a
controversial topic in family law, with strongly held and divergent opinions.
This CLE will provide an overview of issues involved in determinations
of shared parenting. The first part will address current research related
to living arrangements after divorce, fathers’ involvement, and
their associations with child psychosocial adjustment. Typical shared
parenting arrangements will also be discussed. The second part will address
issues related to infants and overnights, adolescents, and high conflict
families. Presented by parenting evaluator and University of Washington
Lynn Fainsilber Katz, Ph.D.
