Mind the Gap: Estate Planning Considerations During Divorce

When: 7-Jun-2016 12:00pm - 1:00pm

Where: 1501 Fourth Avenue, Seattle WA 3rd floor Alki Conference Room

This CLE will address the estate “must do’s” that every family law attorney should consider to ensure that the absurd does not occur during “the gap.” While relatively rare, one party’s death or incapacitation during dissolution of marriage proceedings occurs more frequently than one might imagine. In regard to estate law, ALL rights and privileges of being married will occur unless the parties are legally divorced, separated, or by court order. This session will help attendees give clients extra service by ensuring that all of their legal needs are taken care of during “the gap.”

Presented By: Brita Long, a private practice family law and estate attorney in Seattle.
