SEATTLE — McKinley Irvin, a Seattle-based family law firm, has hired Heritage M. Filer as an attorney, expanding their team to 13 attorneys. McKinley Irvin is the largest family law firm in Washington State.
Before joining McKinley Irvin, Filer represented clients specifically in family law affairs for Benjamin Law Group, PLLC where she served as an associate attorney. While studying at Central Washington University, Filer was an intern with Stewart, Beall, MacNichols & Harmell, Inc. Filer also practiced as a Rule 9 extern for the Society of Council Representing Accused Persons in Kent, Wash.
Filer received her bachelor of arts degree in law and justice from CWU where she was a member of Alpha Phi Sigma, the National Criminal Justice Honor Society. Filer received her juris doctor from Seattle University School of Law and graduated cum laude.
Filer also works with Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), and Access to Justice, a community justice center that provides legal education and advice free of charge to underprivileged communities.
