About Annelisa Smith

Annelisa is a hard-working Portland divorce attorney who knows how to think on her feet and solve problems - demonstrated by her experience with litigation of domestic relations, juvenile dependency, and paternity issues. Her ability to perform gracefully in the often stressful and emotionally-charged environment of family law is both a relief and an advantage to the clients she works with at McKinley Irvin's Portland law firm.

Annelisa understands that strong feelings come with the territory in family law and works to meet her client's needs for strong advocacy and effective resolutions. "When I see how distressed and overwhelmed clients can be in the midst of a divorce or custody battle, my drive to support them gets even stronger," says Annelisa. "Knowing I can help my client navigate this difficult time makes the job worthwhile for me."

In addition, she has extensive experience representing children and understands the trauma and pressure adult domestic relations issues bring to children. Annelisa strives to help her clients balance the needs of adults and the best interests of their children.

"I want to build trust with my clients so we can work collaboratively with each other to get the hard work done."

Annelisa has worked both as a Portland divorce lawyer and within the court system. She maintains strong professional relationships within the legal system so that she can be a greater advocate for her clients. As a Portland divorce attorney at McKinley Irvin, Annelisa is recognized for her desire to maintain the highest level of ethics and professionalism in even the most contested cases.

Annelisa stays involved within the Portland legal community, and is also a committed volunteer, providing legal aid and services to Portland community causes.
