Accountant (Seattle)

Our three person accounting team works closely with top management who rely upon the invaluable work of the department. The individual will work closely with all major leaders of the firm. Our accountant is a key contributor. She or he provides general ledger accountability and financial reporting, as well as financial profitability analysis and special projects on a regular basis.

More about the work:

  • Assist in preparation of monthly financial statements, reports and records by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information
  • Responsible for general ledger maintenance
  • Fixed asset processing and reporting
  • Maintain bank accounts
  • Monitor reserve accounts and short-term fund investments
  • Review and reconcile bank statements.
  • Research and reconcile all discrepancies
  • Audit and verify documents
  • Financial and profitability analysis on a requested basis
  • Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
  • Assist in monthly billing and collections

Specifics we need:

  • Bachelors of Science in Accounting or equivalent from an accredited university
  • 3-5 years progressively responsible accounting experience
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook or similar programs
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of major accounting software packages
  • Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Strong analytical and accounting skills
